Finished up the last of the pea stone yesterday. Have run out and will need to get a load in the pick up to complete the last area.
Have started seed for purple kohlrabi, broccoli and two varieties of cabbage in pots.
Planted out Bed 1 in Row 3 today with Scarlet Runner beans, Chard, Beets, Beans, Carrots, Lettuce, Spinach, Arugula and a few Radishes. It is a big bed so I got a lot in there. All seeds, no transplants.
Need to get to the triangles around the pea support to replant.
Cucumber beetles are still with us. They are doing some damage but all the plants seem to be holding their own against them. Next year will start everything under row cover.
Tomatoes are doing great. Lots of growth. They love this God awful heat that we are having... again. Third heat wave of temperatures/humidex close to 100F and it is only the first week of July.
Chicken coop almost finished. Emailing back and forth with hatchery to see what they have available.
Was out at 6:00 to water the garden. Hope the well hold up.
